About Grand Strand Medical Center
Grand Strand Medical Center, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is a 403–bed acute care hospital serving residents of Horry and surrounding counties. Our hospital is the home to the busiest trauma center in South Carolina, as a designated Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center by South Carolina DHEC.
We are affiliated with Mercer University College of Medicine, the University of South Carolina, and The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM). Grand Strand Medical Center has a robust Graduate Medicinal Education program which includes residency programs in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Transitional Year, and Anesthesiology. Plus, we have Fellowships in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Endocrinology, and Emergency Medicine Ultrasound. Myrtle Beach has a great mix of being both a charming coastal community and a growing central metropolitan area.
