Welcome to HCA Healthcare Corpus Christi Medical Center!
We are an ACGME accredited Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine fellowship program located in Corpus Christi, Texas. Our team is dedicated to delivering top patient care and advancing medical knowledge. We currently have over 32 resident physicians practicing in our programs.
Program overview
The Pulmonary Critical Care Disease Fellowship Program at Corpus Christi Medical Center is a three-year, ACGME accredited fellowship.
- Located on the coast of South Texas, 2 hour drive from San Antonio.
- Corpus Christi Medical Center, an HCA Healthcare affiliate, has 2 multi-specialty medical hospitals, each having 22 bed-icu.
- We currently have over 30 resident physicians practicing in our various programs including medicine, pulmonary critical care, pulmonary, cardiology, dermatology and
- pharmacy.
- We accept two new fellows into our pulmonary critical care fellowship each year.
- Candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents as we do not sponsor visas.
- Fellows attend Bayside Pulmonology Clinic one half day per week.
- Opportunities to rotate with outside facilities such as the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Driscoll Children's hospital for Cystic fibrosis, National
- Jewish Hospital at Denver etc. are available.
- Our program is very focused on scholarly activities as well as didactics and fellows have opportunities to present at multiple conferences each year.
Salary and benefits information
- PGY4 - $68,661
- PGY5 - $71,760
- PGY6 - $74,984
- Additional $950 per year on call meal stipend
- New fellows receive up to $1000 stipend for orientation
Additional benefits include professional memberships, conference and travel expenses, cell phone, laptop, and other board prep and educational expenses.
