  • Dr. Madden is a hospitalist at Trident Medical Center.  Prior to joining the Internal Medicine Program, he served as Chief of Staff at Trident. He has a passion for advocating for patients, quality improvement, bedside teaching for learners at all levels and providing compassionate, evidence-based care.   In his spare time, he enjoys fitness training, reading historical books, being a foodie and traveling/experiencing new places and cultures with his wife.

Julie Worthington, MD, PhD, MPH, FACP

  • Dr. Worthington became a faculty member in the Department of Internal Medicine at Trident Medical Center in 2022. She has a passion for teaching and was Assistant Professor in Epidemiology prior to discovering her true calling as a physician. After residency, she worked as a hospitalist and taught internal medicine residents and medical students in the Internal Medicine resident clinic in Pennsylvania. She loves assisting her residents with their research projects across a variety of areas in medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her 2 toy poodles, traveling especially to Disney, playing sports, and attending sports events particularly tennis tournaments and baseball games.
