Welcome from our program director
It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome you to the Pain Medicine Fellowship Program at HCA Florida Blake Hospital/HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani School of Medicine.
About our program
Pain Management fellows at HCA Florida Blake Hospital will experience a well-rounded, hands-on fellowship in a busy tertiary care setting that serves a diverse patient population. Fellows will be exposed to a broad spectrum of acute, chronic, cancer-related, and perioperative pain conditions, with opportunities to develop advanced diagnostic skills, and participate in multidisciplinary care alongside surgery, trauma, oncology, and rehabilitation teams. Given HCA Florida Blake Hospital's role as a Level II Trauma Center and Burn Center, fellows will gain valuable experience managing complex pain cases in both inpatient and procedural environments.
HCA Florida Blake Hospital is the primary training site for Internal Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Transitional Year Residency Programs as well as Cardiovascular Disease and Infectious Disease Fellowship Programs, fostering an interdisciplinary learning environment.
Located in Bradenton, Florida, HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383-bed, full-service tertiary care hospital that serves Manatee County and surrounding Gulf Coast communities, including Sarasota County. The hospital provides a broad scope of services with particular strength in high-acuity care, including 24/7 emergency services, a Level II Trauma Center, a Florida state-designated Burn Center, advanced cardiovascular and thoracic care, comprehensive stroke services, neuroscience and spine care, cancer services, orthopedic surgery, and gastroenterology care and surgery. These services support a complex and diverse patient population with significant medical and surgical critical care needs. HCA Florida Blake Hospital has been recognized with multiple Healthgrades awards that reflect its strong performance in patient safety and clinical outcomes.
