Dr. Robert Obeid, MD, FACP

Robert Obeid, MD is a founding faculty member and serves as the Program Director for the UCF/HCA Florida (Fort Walton-Destin) Transitional Year Residency Program as well as the Associate Program Director for Internal Medicine Residency Program.

He completed his medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch and his residency in Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Scottsdale, AZ. Following residency, he served as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, where he focused on quality improvement projects to decrease hospital mortality and improve patient outcomes in sepsis. In 2023, he served as the CHI (Catholic Health Initiatives) Texas Division Sepsis Chair.

Dr. Obeid's academic interest is focused on hospital-based medicine. As an educator, his goal is to establish a comfortable learning environment that promotes scholarly discussions and sparks excitement around the practice of medicine.

As Program Director, Dr. Obeid is primarily responsible for oversight and administration of the program. He will provide clinical supervision, oversee the didactic curriculum, conduct administration, and complete scholarly activities

  • Dr. Andrea Duchow, DO

    Dr. Andrea Duchow is an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. She serves as a core faculty member for the UCF/HCA Florida (Fort Walton-Destin) Transitional Year Residency Program as well as a teaching faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.

    She completed her medical school at The New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and her residency in Internal Medicine at Northeast Arkansas Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. She truly enjoys educating learners and during her training, worked as a teaching assistant where she designed structured study sessions for first year medical students.

    Her academic interest is focused on hospital-based teaching. As an educator, she finds reward in the opportunity to contribute to the next generation of physicians. She strives to foster an environment of personal growth and optimism by interacting with active learners and exchanging feedback.

    As core faculty, Dr. Duchow is primarily responsible for clinical supervision, scholarly activity, and didactic training.

  • Dr. Talyr Hall Gardoski, MD

    Dr. Talyr Hall is an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. She serves as a core faculty member for the UCF/HCA Florida (Fort Walton-Destin) Transitional Year Residency Program as well as a teaching faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.

    She completed her medical school at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and her residency in Internal Medical at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. Following residency, she served as an Assistant Professor at Merit Health Wesley where se continued to teach residents and students on the academic Hospitalist service.

    Her academic interest is focused on hospital-based teaching. As an educator, she finds reward in the opportunity to share her knowledge and experience to train the future generation of physicians.

    As core faculty, Dr. Gardoski is primarily responsible for clinical supervision, scholarly activity, and didactic training.

  • Dr. Aaron Noles, MD

    Dr. Aaron Noles is an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. He serves as a core faculty member for the UCF/HCA Florida (Fort Walton-Destin) Transitional Year Residency Program as well as a teaching faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.

    He completed his medical school at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and his residency in Neurology at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. During his residency, he completed Pediatric Neurology training at the John Hopkins University. Following residency, he completed a Vascular Neurology fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.

    Following his training, Dr. Noles has served as the Stroke Director for HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, where he is excited to teach residents and students about acute and chronic stroke management. His academic interest is focused on stroke prevention and acute stroke management.

    As core faculty, Dr. Noles is primarily responsible for clinical supervision, scholarly activity, and didactic training.

  • Dr. Amira Noles, MD

    Dr. Amira Noles is an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. She serves as a core faculty member for the UCF/HCA Florida (Fort Walton-Destin) Transitional Year Residency Program as well as a teaching faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.

    She completed her medical school at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. Following residency, she has been involved in multiple quality improvement projects involving effective multidisciplinary rounds and compliance with venothrombotic prophylaxis.

    Dr. Noles has recently accepted the Directorship role at the Rehab Institute of Northwest Florida where she is excited to teach residents and students. Her academic interest is focused on rehabilitation medicine. As an educator, her goal is to connect the medical and physical aspects of patient care to ensure the patient is taken care of as a whole.
