HCA Florida JFK Hospital is a 527-bed Tertiary Care acute care hospital and HCA JFK North Hospital is a 280-bed acute care hospital with an adjoining 123-bed behavioral healthcare facility and an outpatient rehabilitation facility; both facilities have served Palm Beach County with high-quality advanced healthcare for the past 45-50 years. The hospitals also jointly operate two off-site emergency rooms (ERs) in Palm Beach Gardens and West Boynton Beach. In 2020 the facilities completed a $108 million renovation and expansion project that included a new three-story patient tower, expansion of the emergency department, as well as significant GME space improvements.
The two hospitals have received numerous 5-star awards from Healthgrades, in areas like Cardiac Care and Orthopedic services [Top 100 Award], and JFK Hospital is a nationally accredited Center for Bariatric Surgery and Obesity Medicine [American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery], a Cardiac Care Center [American College of Cardiology], Breast Center [NAPBC] and Comprehensive Community Cancer Program [Commission on Cancer].
Together the two hospitals support more than 9 residency and fellowship programs, with over 100 residents and fellows, and are actively engaged in the strategic growth of additional GME programs. JFK Hospital is expected to achieve Florida Statutory Teaching Hospital status by 2025.
Hospital- and GME leadership are proud to deliver world-class education to the residents and fellows in the HCA JFK/JFK North Hospital GME programs, in a collegial, supportive and collaborative environment that is focused on resident wellness/satisfaction and the success of each learner. JFk’s GME programs boast near 100% initial attempt specialty board pass rates, over 90% fellowship match rates for those residents seeking sub-specialty training, retention of > 30% of graduates with HCA or its strategic clinical partners, and active engagement of all of its learners in research and scholarship.
