Mission Statement

The HCA Florida JFK Hospital/University of Miami Miller School of Medicine GME Consortium Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program's mission is to develop the next generation of physicians and physician leaders.

This program is designed to offer fellows a rewarding, educational environment where fellows are provided individualized learning opportunities by faculty and staff who support and sustain one another throughout quality care delivery. Our faculty are committed to ensuring the fellows' clinical experience and educational needs are fulfilled while expanding fellows' perspectives to be inclusive of cultures, values and ideals.

Program Overview

The HCA Florida JFK Hospital/University of Miami Miller School of Medicine GME Consortium Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship prepares the selected physician for board certification in hospice and palliative medicine. The ad hoc fellowship admissions committee selects up to two fellows each year for participation in the program. The program gained ACGME accreditation under the HCA Florida JFK Hospital Internal Medicine Program in May of 2010. Several participating institutions provide the clinical base for the accredited fellowship.
