    HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a full-service Tertiary Care acute care hospital that has provided high-quality healthcare services to Florida's Treasure Coast since 1968. The hospital offers a wide ange of specialty services, including advanced cardiac care, a stroke center, a Level II Trauma Center, pediatric services, including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit and an adult/pediatric emergency room (ER), as well as a full range of inpatient and outpatient surgical services.

    The hospital has received numerous awards for quality, including America's 50 Best Hospitals for Vascular Surgery [Healthgrades], Five-star recognition for Maternity/Delivery services [Healthgrades], Trauma Center verification [American College of Surgeons], Primary Stroke Center certification and Rehabilitation program accreditation [The Joint Commission], leading to a Top Performer designation from The Joint Commission.

    Lawnwood Hospital is the newest and most rapidly growing teaching hospital in the HCA East Florida Division. In 2023, the hospital is bringing residency programs in General Surgery and Internal Medicine online, and for 2024-28 plans to develop additional programs in Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology, Gynecology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Behavioral Health, among other specialties. The goal of hospital leadership is to deliver world-class education to our residents, in a collegial, supportive and collaborative environment that is focused on resident wellness/satisfaction and the success of each learner.

    Fort Pierce FL occupies a unique location tucked away in St Lucie County providing access to diverse ecosystems such as Indian River Lagoon, home to a diverse fauna and flora, while also providing easy access to other Florida coastal communities. Centrally located, between Melbourne and West Palm Beach, near Port St Lucie, in the Treasure Coast area, residents enjoy living in smaller, comfortable, more laid-back residential communities, while still having easy access to the more bustling beach cities close by.
