Located in the beautifully “weird” and live music capital of the world, St. David’s Healthcare includes eight of Austin’s leading hospitals and is one of the largest health systems in Texas. Our system’s graduate medical education (GME) programs are based at South Austin Medical Center (SAMC), with 344 beds offering a range of complex specialties and sub-specialties. In Fall 2022, a we opened a brand new dedicated GME space that includes classrooms, call rooms, simulation space, resident workspace, and offices directly adjacent to the main hospital. St. David’s Healthcare is committed to providing a robust, fulfilling, and unique physician training experience with residents that represent the communities we serve with the highest levels of care.
