Electives

Elective rotations will include:

  • Site 1 Anesthesia, Behavioral Health/Addiction Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Pulmonology, and Radiology
  • Site 2 Community Health, and Health Systems Management
  • Site 4 Behavioral Health/ Addiction Medicine, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Hematology and Oncology, Intensive Care, and Sports Medicine/MSK
  • Site 5 Geriatrics
  • Site 6 Dermatology
  • Site 7 Emergency Medicine, and Sports Medicine/MSK
  • Site 8 Community Health, Endocrinology, Otolaryngology, and Ophthalmology

Vacation

Vacation: Residents have 4 weeks of vacation time each training year. They are also eligible for up to 6 weeks of paid medical, parental, or caregiver leave(s). The program will provide the resident with accurate information regarding the impact of an extended leave of absence on the criteria for satisfactory completion of the program, and the eligibility to participate in examinations by the ABFM and AOBFM. The residents' training period will be extended when necessary.

Notes

At the beginning of training, each resident will be assigned a panel of patients for treatment at the Family Medicine Practice (FMP) for the duration of the 36 months of training.

Residents are scheduled once a month at Riverview Health and Rehabiliation Center (Site 15)

Fetter Healthcare- Enterprise Pediatric Health Center (Site 13)- Residents attend the pediatric continuity experience one day a month on a rotating schedule.

Nights: IP Med (Site 1) All PGY levels will do 1 week of nights/block.; OB/GYN (Site 1) PGY 1-2 residents will do 2 weeks of nights/block
