Curriculum highlights

Our curriculum is designed to complement resident's rotations. Residents will have protected educational time to attend weekly didactic conferences. This includes:

  • Basic Science and Clinical Science Lectures
  • Journal Club
  • Surgical M&M
  • Tumor Boards
  • Grand Rounds
  • Research and Quality Improvement
  • Simulation

There is badge access to the simulation lab for residents to practice their skills at any time.

Residents will complete one quality improvement project and one scholarly activity work product for publication with support from an assigned faculty mentor, research coordinator, and our Director of Research.

Rotations:

Chippenham & Johnston-Willis Hospitals span over two locations. Rotations will take place at the Chippenham Campus (primary), Johnston-Willis Campus, and at Henrico Doctors Forest Hospital.
