Abraham B. Hardee III, DO/PhD
Program Director

Dr. Hardee earned his medical degree at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg Va. He continued his education at Geisinger Medical Center and Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery in Family Medicine. Dr. Hardee is extremely passionate about community advocacy and the effects of strong physician lead support for the improvement in healthcare for Southwest Virginians. He has also spent extensive time practicing medicine in Central America, and ultimately earned his PhD in International Health Education. With a focus on osteopathic manipulation on a naive population in order evaluate corrective structure and stance.

Dr. Aaron Keller
Assistance Program Director

Dr. Keller earned his medical degree at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, and is a graduate of the LewisGale Hospital Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Keller is board-certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Medicine. He enjoys caring for patients in multiple settings, and practices both hospital and clinic based medicine. In his free time Dr. Keller enjoys traveling, hiking, playing music, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Elliot Freed
Core Faculty

Dr. Elliot Freed attended the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine — Virginia and is a graduate of the LewisGale Hospital Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program. He now works for HCA Physicians. His clinic is Outpatient Primary Care in Giles, VA. Dr. Freed has four your daughters and one son. He considers the New River Valley to be an excellent place to raise a family.

Dr. Michael Clary
Core Faculty

Dr. Clary received his undergraduate degree at Washington and Lee University, Master of Medical Science at Emory University in Atlanta and Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board certified by and a fellow of The American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He has been practicing family medicine for thirty-four years in both academic and primary care settings. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages with diverse medical problems.

Dr. Sabrina Berger
Core Faculty

Dr. Berger graduated from VCOM Virginia campus in 2008 and she completed her residency here at LewisGale Hospital in 2011. She is married with six kids and three of them which are still in the house. Dr. Berger and her family love soccer and traveling. Which is a great thing because the two go hand-in-hand. She has been working in urgent care for over 10 years and now finds joy in preventative medicine and longitudinal care.

Dr. Christopher Sue-Wah-Sing
Core Faculty

Dr. Sue-Wah-Sing is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides comprehensive medical care at LewisGale Family and Academic Medicine. His clinical interests include preventative medicine, musculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Dr. Sue-Wah-Sing earned his medical degree at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. He is known for his novelty sock collection, with over 100 unique pairs of socks! In his spare time, Dr. Sue-Wah-Sing loves to cheer on his alma mater in college football (Go Gators!), indulge in culinary adventures, and world travel. His favorite destination is Japan!

Dr. Richard Zhou
Core Faculty

Dr. Zhou hails from Queens, New York, and received his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at the LewisGale Hospital Montgomery Family Medicine Program, and is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Zhou practices preventative medicine and works with patients of all ages. He enjoys a procedural style practice consisting but not limited to: knee injections, cryotherapy, skin biopsies, and nexplanon placement. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking and photography.

Dr. Mark Rogers, DO, CAQSM, FAAFP, FAOASM
Primary Care Sports Medicine Program Director, VCOM

Dr. Rogers graduated from UNC Family Medicine Residency and went on to complete a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Virginia and Virginia Tech. He currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Chair in the Discipline of Sports Medicine at VCOM, and is the Program Director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. He serves as a team physician for Virginia Tech Athletics and the Pulaski River Turtles. Dr. Rogers lives in Blacksburg with his wife and two children.

Dr. Mary Mitchell
Sports Medicine Staff

A graduate of Saint Mary's College of Notre Dame, Dr. Mitchell obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She then went on to complete her residency in Family Medicine at McLaren Oakland Hospital. After residency, Dr. Mitchell completed her fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at VCOM. Dr. Mitchell has a special interest in musculoskeletal injury evaluation and treatment, ultrasound guided joint injections, and osteopathic manipulation. Outside of the office, Dr. Mitchell can be found enjoying different types of food and baking.

Dr. Ronald Januchowski
Clinical Faculty

Dr. Januchowski graduate from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a Family Medicine residency at Womack Army Medical Center in North Carolina. He is currently the Dean of Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine — Virginia and lives in Blacksburg. He enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine to include Woman’s Health, Preventive Medicine and office-based procedures such as skin biopsies, joint injections, vasectomies and osteopathic manipulation.
