Mary Downing, MD, FACP, Program Director
Dr. Downing is a graduate of Duke University, and Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed residency in Internal Medicine at Memorial Health and a Vascular Medicine Fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Downing joined the residency program in 2012 as a faculty member. She served as Associate Program Director from 2014-2020. She is the current program director.
Timothy Connelly, MD, FACP, Associate Program Director
Dr. Connelly graduated medical school at the University of Saint Eustatius School of Medicine. He completed Internal Medicine residency at Memorial Health, he served as Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Connelly joined the Internal Medicine faculty in 2012. He is actively involved in IT initiatives at Memorial, including the implementation of the Epic Enterprise EHR. Tim Connelly is board certified in Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics.
Joseph C. Kramer, MD, Associate Program Director, Director of Ambulatory Education
Dr. Kramer is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, and Mercer University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident 2015-2016. Dr. Kramer joined the Internal Medicine faculty in 2016. He was the Clerkship Director. He is an Associate Program Director. He became the Director of Ambulatory Education in 2023.
Chad Martins, MD, Clerkship Director
Dr.Martins is a graduate of Youngstown State University, and Northeast Ohio Medical University. He completed residency at the George Washington University where he completed a 4th year chief residency. He joined the faculty in 2019. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ+ Equality as the Vice President of Education. He lives in Savannah with his husband and daughter.
Morgan Wright, MD
Dr. Wright completed medical school at Louisiana State University's LSU Health Shreveport and bachelors degree in biochemistry at the University of Oklahoma. She is a graduate of Internal Medicine Residency here at Memorial Health and served as a PGY-4 chief resident in 2023. She is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, cake decorating, and pottery on the wheel. As a foodie, she enjoys travel and exploring Savannah’s many local restaurants.

William Hannah, MD, FACP, Designated Institutional Official
Dr. Hannah is a graduate of Washington and Lee University, and Emory University School of Medicine. He completed residency at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and was chief resident. He is currently core faculty, Designated Institutional Official, and Professor of Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine.
Lora Denton, MD, FACP
Dr. Denton is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and attended medical school at Mercer University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Georgia Baptist Medical in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Denton joined the residency program at Memorial Health in 1995 as a faculty member. She became the Director of Ambulatory Education in 2011.
Michael Ruiz, MD
Dr. Ruiz is a graduate of Armstrong State University, and the Medical College of Georgia. He completed residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Maulik Patel, MD
Dr. Patel is graduate of Emory University, and Mercer University School of Medicine. He completed residency at Memorial Health. Dr. Patel completed Geriatric fellowship at University of Florida at Gainesville.
Lindsey Goldberg, MD
Dr. Goldberg is a graduated of Amherst College, and the Medical College of Georgia. She completed residency at the University of Kentucky where she also served as a 4th year chief resident.
Priya Pujara, MD
Dr. Pujara attended medical school in Charleston, SC at MUSC and did her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics in Washington, DC at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. After completing residency Dr. Pujara worked in an outpatient med-peds clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. After Cleveland and before moving to Savannah, she worked for Prisma Health at their midland's campus in Columbia, SC. She worked as a preceptor in the resident clinic and she ran her own in clinic for adults with developmental disabilities she has an interest in transition care from pediatrics to adult medicine. When not working, she enjoys traveling and being outside with her family.
