Welcome to the HCA HealthONE Anesthesiology residency program! We appreciate your interest in our anesthesia residency program at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado. We are a community-based Level I Trauma Center, which provides exceptional care for a full spectrum of services using specialized resources and expertise.
Anesthesiology residents will learn from and train with expert anesthesiologists within a wide range of specialties who are dedicated to providing the very best care. The core faculty consists of seven experienced anesthesiologists with backgrounds in education and teaching. The majority of the faculty is a part of US Anesthesia Partners (USAP); the highest quality and largest single-specialty anesthesia practice in the country. All of our faculty and staff are committed to resident education, growth, and development.
In addition to an excellent group of dedicated staff, our residency program will provide comprehensive didactic curriculum. We will also provide conference and committee opportunities, an abundance of research tools, and more to support residents throughout training. As well, being we are a relatively small and newer program, we hope to provide a familial environment for the residents during their training. Our anesthesiologists will teach residents real world anesthesia.
The extensive variety and volume of patient care, combined with the clinical expertise of our anesthesiologists, will provide residents with the tools, opportunities, and experiences necessary to be successful in their residency and beyond. Our goal is to assist in the development of expert clinicians within the field of Anesthesia; whether that is private practice or academic anesthesiologists.
