Matthew Larsen, DO, Program Director
Dr. Larsen is double board certified in adult and child psychiatry. He earned his medical degree from Des Moines University, completed his General Psychiatry Residency in Reno, Nevada in 2013, and completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Larsen enjoys teaching and writing. He has won a number of awards for his poster presentations and medical lectures. He currently has three medical publications and three novels available on Kindle. He was elected the Chairman of the local chapter of the Suicide Prevention Action Network. Dr. Larsen hopes to stay in Southeast Idaho for his entire career, serving in the community where he was raised.
Adam Burch, DO, Associate Program Director
Dr Burch was trained at Western University of Health Sciences COMP-NW in Lebanon, OR. He then did his residency at Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson, MI. As one of our inpatient doctors here at the BHC he has worked with residents, medical students, PA and NP students for years helping to teach them more about psychiatry. He lives in Idaho Falls, ID with his family, which includes four children, a dog, a cat that thinks he’s a dog, and a multitude of fish and reptiles. When he is not busy with the residency he is busy taking things apart and promising that he’ll put them back together some day.
Mary Beth Ostrom, MD
Dr. Ostrom is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist working at EIRMC's Behavioral Health Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The Center is a psychiatric hospital providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults from the across the region, including Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. Dr. Ostrom is a member of the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. She completed her Residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and attended Medical School at the University of Texas.
Daniel Lilligren, MD
Dr. Lilligren received his M.D. from The University of Tennessee and completed residency at The University of Kansas, where he served as Chief Resident. He is board-certified in General Psychiatry.
Kyle Greer, MD
Dr. Greer is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who takes an integrative approach in the care of his patients. He completed the Integrative Medicine in Residency training through the University of Arizona.
Focus is placed on the comprehensive care of individuals where all factors influencing health and wellness are considered, using both conventional and integrative therapies with the primary goal being the safety and well-being of the patient.
A team approach is taken with the patient and multidisciplinary staff at BHC in achieving a treatment plan that will provide the greatest chance of success and recovery.
Cristina Sanchez-Jaquez, MD
Dr. Sanchez-Jaquez completed medical school in the Dominican Republic followed by a Residency in Psychiatry at Texas Tech Health Center in El Paso, Texas and a Fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry from University of Connecticut. She is board certified in Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dean Shandy, DO
Dr. Shandy completed medical school at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine followed by a Residency in Psychiatry at Millcreek Community Hospital and a Fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry from University Hospitals of Cleveland, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
