Welcome to the Internal Medicine Residency Program at HCA Florida Blake Hospital!

We are happy that you are considering our program as a potential site to continue your medical training and encourage you to browse these pages to find out more about our program.

The road through residency is long, but the opportunities are vast. We are here to help teach and guide our residents further along their career paths. Through hard work and intense study, you will find deep satisfaction and lasting fulfillment in this noble profession.

Our Internal Medicine Residency Program received initial accreditation by the ACGME in January of 2016 and we proudly accepted our first class of residents in July 2016. This superb inaugural residency class was instrumental in developing an effective and cohesive program, and they set the stage for every class after them.

We have a robust didactic program that includes Morning Report/Case Presentations, Noon Conferences and Board Review/MKSAP Question sessions as well as monthly Journal Club, Morbidity and Mortality Conferences and Grand Rounds.

Our 4+1 scheduling system alternates four-week rotations with a one-week ambulatory clinic block. This allows for a continuity clinic experience that is not interrupted with inpatient responsibilities, and also offers time for quality and research projects.

You are about to make a decision that will influence the rest of your life. We hope the program information that you will find on our site will help you discover the atmosphere of teamwork and professionalism we strive to create.

We welcome you to get to know us better and invite you to consider training at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,
Yizhi Lin, DO
Program Director
