Program Curriculum

The goals of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship include:

  • Identification of cardiology disease states that are amenable to catheter-based intervention and development of the medical knowledge
  • Technical skill to perform appropriate catheter-based interventions and to provide appropriate pre- and post-procedure care.

Clinical learning opportunities will be available on two campuses including Cardiovascular Services at HCA Florida Largo Hospital, which is certified as an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers and as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission.

The program is designed to provide educational and experiential input from a broad range of specialty providers at HCA Florida Largo Hospital, as well as affiliate institutions.

At the successful completion of the program, the Fellow will have received adequate instruction and experience to qualify for Level 3 skills in Interventional Cardiology.
