Program Curriculum

Fellows complete a 36-month training program. Working hours are generally 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, with rotating on-call schedules. Fellows receive a total of 20 days of paid time off, which can be used for vacation, personal needs, holidays and CME.

The core curriculum is based on the recommendations of the American College of Cardiology COCATS training document.

The program is designed to provide educational and experiential input from a broad range of specialty providers at HCA Florida Northside Hospital as well as affiliate institutions.

At the successful completion of the program, the fellow will have received adequate instruction and experience to qualify for Level 2 skills in general cardiology, cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, stress testing, pacemaker implantation with follow-up and basic nuclear cardiology and electrophysiology.
