Thank you for visiting our website and learning about our accredited Family Medicine Residency Program at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. We look forward to the opportunity to meet with candidates and find our future residents, graduates and family physicians!
As the program director of the HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program, I can certainly attest to what a unique opportunity our program will be for a select group of residents. Our residents will be an integral component, helping grow and develop our program to train outstanding family physicians for our community and beyond.
Similar to when graduates enter practice, our residents will have the unique opportunity to join current, established practices as first-year residents. They will also join a healthcare community and hospital and learn firsthand how to integrate themselves as physicians for their own future practices.
Our goal is to develop a high-quality resident-focused family medicine program.
At HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital, we utilize the unique strengths of our area to train in the community, with experiences in smaller, more personal family medicine practices. Residents will be an integral continuity provider for those practices.
Our residents’ hospital and subspecialty experiences are provided in a rapidly expanding and enlarging hospital that is a regional leader in quality of care and becoming a hospital of choice in the greater North Tampa area. The hospital serves the rapidly expanding and growing population in Hernando County, Brooksville and Spring Hill, Florida.
Excellence in family medicine is established through a continuous outpatient experience that challenges physicians, teaching them to work with specialists, develop relationships with patients and provide care in a high-quality, evidence-based medical home practice. A smaller community setting is the best atmosphere to personalize this type of training.
I look forward to meeting new applicants and our future residents and leaders as we build this program and serve this community with high-quality primary care.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Simon, DO
Program Director
