Welcome to the Internal Medicine Residency Program at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital. Our program will accelerate your training through personalized professional development instruction, an innovative didactics curriculum, and tailored experiences offering best-practice education through inpatient and ambulatory settings. Our 45 residents value our strong University of Central Florida affiliation, exceptional community-based HCA Florida Ocala Hospital training, and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital rotations. Outpatient services are provided through our Federally Qualified Healthcare Clinic, Heart of Florida Health Center. We are proud to be part of HCA Healthcare, Florida's largest healthcare provider.
Our program fosters evidence-based best practices in patient care delivery, professional development, and academic research where residents drive quality improvement initiatives, train in the state-of-the-art simulation lab and with point-of-care ultrasound technology, and teach medical students. Our esteemed faculty, administration, and alumni provide feedback to residents through structured mentorship programs, participate in educational retreats, and offer workshops on career planning, scholarly research, and patient care. With a commitment to education, wellbeing, and personal growth, our faculty prepare residents for their futures as fellows, hospitalists, or community physicians.
