Thank you for your interest in our program!

In addition to its friendly and supportive environment, our Transitional Year Residency Program is designed to give our residents a solid foundation in clinical medicine that will prepare them for their future training programs.

We currently have residents who have matched into Anesthesia, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Radiation Oncology and Radiology. Our curriculum consists of 28 weeks of Fundamental Clinical Skills rotations, two weeks of Quality Improvement, and 19 weeks of Elective rotations.

During these rotations, our residents are exposed to a wide breadth of inpatient and outpatient experiences in a learning environment that will challenge academic curiosity and advance their clinical skills.

Each transitional year resident will also learn the principles of patient safety and quality improvement and will actively participate in a quality improvement project that they help to design and develop during the year.

We are looking forward to meeting those of you who are interested in our program.

Sincerely,

Alan Hamza, MD

Transitional Year Program Director
