Program Director
Muhammad-Atif Zubairi, MD
Dr. Zubairi is a dual fellowship trained Neurologist in Vascular Neurology and Neurocritical Care. He was practicing medicine as an intensivist in Pakistan before he moved to the United States. Dr. Zubairi completed his Internship and Neurology Residency at the University of New Mexico. He did his fellowship trainings in Neurocritical Care at the Cleveland Clinic and Vascular Neurology at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Zubairi joined HCA Florida Osceola Hospital in 2020 and currently holds the Program Director leadership position in the UCF/HCA Neurology Residency Program. He manages critically ill patients with neurological disorder in the Intensive Care Unit and patients with cerebrovascular disease on the Stroke service.
Dr. Zubairi believes in providing advanced, superior care in the management of cerebrovascular disease and critical illness in a time sensitive manner to drive the best possible neurological outcomes. Currently, his research interests include targeted temperature management after cardiac arrest and neuropsychiatric evaluation after management of acute ischemic stroke.

Matthias Zinn, MD
Matthias M. Zinn, MD, joined the Division of Neurology at Nemours Children's Hospital in November 2015. Following a residency in pediatrics at Orlando Regional Medical Center, and a fellowship in child neurology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Zinn worked in private practice in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is passionate about treating not only a child's symptoms, but also creating a strong support system at home. This is why he actively facilitates support groups to share strategies on managing epilepsy as a family.
Dr. Zinn has authored a peer-reviewed research report on intracranial hypertension in a child with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and has participated in several sponsored research investigations.
Dr. Zinn is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with a special qualification in child neurology. He is fluent in English and German.
