Program Curriculum
In addition to general obstetrics and gynecology, our program includes rotations through all of the subspecialties, including maternal-fetal medicine (high-risk pregnancy), gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, and minimally-invasive gynecologic surgery. Our full-service obstetrics/ gynecology clinic will provide a wide range of experience and pathology.
A unique feature of our program is the chronic pelvic pain experience. Residents are exposed to a robust chronic pelvic pain clinic at the Orlando Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center during PGY-2 and PGY-3 years. During this rotation, they learn from internationally-renown chronic pelvic pain experts and the interdisciplinary team the full scope of pathophysiology, workup, and management options for chronic pelvic pain.
The curriculum is subject to change throughout the year depending on the needs of the program.

Didactics
Didactics occur from 0730-1130 on Friday mornings. Didactic time is protected with faculty coverage of the services. Didactics are on a rolling 2-year curriculum covering all CREOG topics (so by the time you are the senior on OB, you have received that topic at least once already, and sometimes 2-3 times). We use Schoology to keep our didactic schedule and all of our resources & modules. All resources for the curricula, including lecture powerpoints and lecture videos are posted on Schoology for review at any time. We also broadcast all of our didactics via either WebEx or Zoom.
Didactics include:
- Practice Bulletin/Committee Opinion review
- Monthly resident lecture

- Monthly Sub-specialty Academic Half- Day
- Monthly Journal Club
- Monthly Antepartum Conference
