Welcome and thank you for your interest in HCA Florida Westside Hospital/HCA Florida Northwest Hospital Anesthesiology Residency Program!
Our program is an ACGME accredited categorical anesthesiology residency. Our primary training sites are HCA Florida Westside Hospital and HCA Florida Northwest Hospital, both located in the suburbs of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a part of the growing HCA GME family, we have grown into one of the best community training programs for aspiring anesthesiologists.
Our program features over 30 faculty members and multiple clinical sites that provide excellent clinical and educational experiences. Our anesthesiologists have a variety of clinical expertise and specialized fellowship training from some of the top institutions in the country including Johns Hopkins, the University of Florida, SUNY and Cleveland Clinic.
We have a 100% fellowship match rate, with our graduates having matched and trained at such institutions as the University of South Florida, Texas Children's Hospital, Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone, Cleveland Clinic, the University of Nebraska and the University of Miami in various specialties including chronic pain, pediatrics and cardiac anesthesia.
Our goals are to provide our patients and community with high-quality care and to maintain a residency training program that produces anesthesiologists that are clinically excellent, dedicated to quality care, active in their communities, and future leaders of our specialty. We have an affiliation with Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine that, along with HCA's GME sponsorship, gives our community program a university feel with comparable resources for research, simulation and clinical experience.
