Laura Preece, DO, FACOI, FACP

Dr. Laura Preece is a graduate of Rutgers University with a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences where she also competed as a Division 1 gymnast. She completed her medical school training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), and afterwards was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army by way of a Health Professionals Scholarship. She went on to complete her internship and residency at Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis, Washington. Her military obligation was served in Seoul, Korea where she attained the rank of Major and ultimately at William Beaumont Army Medical Center here in El Paso.

Following her completion of military service, she worked as Assistant Professor and Clerkship Director at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, El Paso. Most recently she was the Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Mountainview Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico for six years. In 2020, Dr. Preece was named the New Mexico Chapter of the American College of Physicians Early Career Physician Leader of the Year. Her clinical interests are in outpatient medicine where she enjoys seeing complex internal medicine patients. She is triple board certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM), Obesity Medicine (ABOM), and Lifestyle Medicine (ABLM).
