Dr. Luke Robinson, DO, DABMA

Asst. Program Director

Dr. Robinson is board certified in NMM-OMM and family medicine. He is certified in Acupuncture and brings 5+ years of clinic practice experience. His interests are in OMM and acupuncture of all ages.

His current & recent research projects have included:

  • Along with Dr. Kozar, they are beginning to study the movements of the diaphragm, liver & kidneys in patients with and w/o disease using MSK ultrasound, elastography & spirometry in relation to OMT

Dr. Hope Tobey, DO, FAAP, FACOP

Core Faculty

Dr. Tobey is board certified in NMM-OMM and Pediatrics and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians. Her experience includes 7+ years of inpatient and outpatient general pediatrics prior to focusing her clinical work on osteopathic manipulation in 2016. Dr. Tobey’s clinical interests include Pediatric OMT and OMT during pregnancy.

Dr. David Harden, DO, FAAFP, NMMOMM

Core Faculty

Dr. Harden is board certified in NMMOMM, and Board Eligible and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine. His experience includes eight years in Clinical Family Medicine combining general family medicine and OMM prior to joining the faculty at VCOM—Virginia campus. Since joining the clinical faculty in 2004, Dr. Harden has had a focus in Geriatrics and OMM. Since 2008 he has been Department and Discipline Chair of OMM. Dr. Harden’s clinical interests are in osteopathy and OMM.


Harriet Shaw, DO

Dr. Shaw is board certified in NMM-OMM and brings 44+ years of clinical experience and > 30 years of OMM faculty experience at Oklahoma before semi-retiring in Virginia
