Program Overview

Our program is part of HCA's Sunrise Health GME Consortium and is based at Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, located in the southwest area of Las Vegas. Southern Hills Hospital is a 311-bed, full service, acute care facility and is the "home base" for most of the family medicine inpatient and subspecialty experiences.

Southern Hills Hospital currently houses ACGME-accredited Family Medicine, Transitional Year, Psychiatry, and Neurology programs as well as fellowships in GI and Addiction Medicine.

Our sister hospital, Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, serves as our rotation site for pediatrics inpatient and pediatrics emergency medicine. Our family medicine continuity clinic is based out of Nevada Health Centers (NVHC), the largest federally qualified health center (FQHC) organization in Nevada. In conjunction with NVHC, we provide preventative and comprehensive care for our pediatric, adult, and geriatric population. We also concentrate in areas such as women's health, geriatrics, care for the homeless and a focus on behavioral health.
