Program overview
TriStar Skyline/HCA Healthcare GME (Nashville) Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Program's mission is to train competent surgical critical care physicians who apply scientific evidence to manage critically-ill surgical patients and have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to supervise surgical critical care units after completing the fellowship. Curriculum highlights
The Surgical Critical Care Fellowship uses a 13 block schedule over a 12 month period. The schedule includes rotations with the SCC/TICU, SICU/Neuro, SICU/Burn, Cardiac, and elective rotations. Elective options can include Acute Care Surgery, Cardiac Intensive Care, Trauma/Burn Unit, Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Neuro Critical Care, or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
