Kenneth E. Krell MD, FACP

Program Director

Dr. Krell attended undergraduate and medical school at Michigan State University with graduate training at Michigan State University and University of Washington. He was Medical Director of Critical Care, Medical Director of Quality Improvement at EIRMC for over 30 years. Dr. Krell recently retired from his position in the ICU to accept the position of Program Director, Internal Medicine Residency. Dr. Krell has been a principal investigator in 29 critical trials in critical care and has over 28 publications. In his free time Dr. Krell enjoys time with family, including grandkids, tending to his farm and cows. He also enjoys hunting and fishing. Dr. Krell currently holds the post of Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington.

S. Blake Wachter, MD, PhD

Associate Program Director

Dr. Wachter received her doctoral degree in medical informatics while attending medical school at the University of Utah. She completed her fellowship in cardiology and subspecialty fellowship in advanced heart failure/transplant. Dr. Wachter lives in Idaho Falls, Idaho with her loving husband and two wonderful children.

Sean Huggins, DO

Dr. Huggins received his Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from University of Utah in 2009. After completing his pre-medicine requirements at the University of Utah, he then attended Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine earning his medical degree in 2018. In June 2021 Dr. Huggins completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center . During his EIRMC residency he was awarded Senior Resident of the Year. Dr. Huggins joined the East Falls Internal Medicine Clinic in 2021 and continues to support the Internal Medicine Residency Program at EIRMC.

In his free time, Dr. Huggins enjoys spending time with family, experiencing other cultures, music, and interacting with healthcare providers around the globe.

Tausha Allen, DO

Dr. Tausha Allen started her career as a registered nurse but ultimately decided to return for further education. She attended medical school at Campbell University of Osteopathic Medicine in North Carolina. Having grown up in the Mountain West region, she came to Idaho and completed her residency at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where she served as chief resident. Dr. Allen joined the EIRMC affiliated Hospitalist Group in 2022. Dr. Allen is passionate about teaching and watching residents grow and develop throughout their training. Serving as a local physician, Dr. Allen hopes to make her community a better and healthier place to live. She enjoys spending her days off golfing and skiing with her four children and wonderfully supportive husband.
