Welcome to the Internal Medicine Residency Program at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital!
We are happy that you have stopped by our page to know more about our program.
Our program offers a dynamic and diverse faculty, an ideal patient population, a full range of service lines, and access to state-of-the-art technology—all in an excellent physical location. At HCA Florida Trinity Hospital, we are committed to providing top-tier education through engaged faculty and a balanced combination of inpatient and outpatient experiences.
Our comprehensive didactic program includes daily morning report, along with dedicated weekly afternoon sessions that all residents attend. These sessions feature monthly journal clubs, morbidity and mortality conferences, ICU conferences, grand rounds, and the integration of cutting-edge Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and Simulation (SIM) curriculum. These innovative learning tools enhance diagnostic skills and prepare residents for real-world clinical challenges.
The 2+2+2 scheduling system alternates three 2-week inpatient rotations with one 2-week ambulatory block, ensuring continuity in clinic experiences without disruption from inpatient duties. This structure also provides protected time for residents to focus on quality improvement and research projects.
Our faculty is committed to delivering a valuable and enriching curriculum that promotes both academic and clinical growth. We take pride in mentoring our residents and fostering a supportive environment for research and professional development.
We understand that guiding the development of a physician's expertise is essential to providing excellent healthcare to the communities we serve. Thank you for your interest in our Graduate Medical Education program, and we hope you will strongly consider us for your post-graduate training.
Sincerely,
Monicka S. Felix, MD MPH
