Welcome to the HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge Medical Center pulmonary and critical care fellowship program. We are a program based out of south metro Denver and provide a comprehensive clinical pulmonary and critical care training experience. We provide experience with a wide variety of pulmonary and critical care conditions. Our rotations are based out of HealthONE Sky Ridge Medical Center. Specialty rotations are located at HCA HealthONE Aurora and HCA HealthONE Swedish.

About our program

Fellows learn the basics of general pulmonary and critical care medicine at HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge Medical Center, a 304-bed level 2 trauma center and rotate through HCA HealthONE Aurora and HCA HealthONE Swedish. Fellows care for post-cardiac surgery and ECMO patient at both Aurora and Swedish. In addition, fellows rotate through the burn unit, a level 1 trauma service, and a neurologic intensive care unit at Swedish. Fellows have direct hands-on training in all pulmonary and critical care procedures including endobronchial ultrasound and robotic bronchoscopy. The sleep medicine curriculum and training is provided by sleep medicine board certified pulmonologists. Continuity clinic is through Critical Care and Pulmonary Consultants, a large group of over 40 pulmonary and critical care physicians with a wide variety of clinic experience and expertise. Critical Care and Pulmonary Consultants physicians also function as the faculty and work side by side with the fellows. We have a robust clinical educational program, and our fellows are expected to be leaders in our hospitals. We have a robust core didactic curriculum including training which includes ECMO and critical care ultrasound. Our fellows participate in clinical research with faculty mentors during their fellowship with the support of the HCA clinical research program.
