Mission statement
The Medical City Fort Worth Dermatology Residency Program’s mission is to develop the next generation of physicians and physician leaders. As a part of HCA Healthcare, we are driven by a single mission: Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.
This program is designed to offer residents a rewarding, educational environment where residents are provided individualized learning opportunities by faculty and staff who support and sustain one another throughout quality care delivery. Our faculty are committed to ensuring the residents' clinical experience and educational needs are fulfilled while expanding residents’ perspectives to be inclusive of cultures, values, and ideals.
Program overview
The Dermatology Residency Training Program at Medical City Fort Worth, part of HCA Healthcare, is a rigorous, ACGME accredited, three-year program designed to cultivate the next generation of dermatology experts and leaders in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This comprehensive and extensive program provides extensive exposure to a variety of general dermatology and dermatologic subspecialties within the community. In addition, our residents are able to provide comprehensive care through adult, pediatrics and surgical continuity clinics. The program admits two residents annually.
The Medical City Fort Worth Dermatology Residency Program is committed to delivering exceptional medical education while also recognizing the importance of building relationships among peers and faculty, participate in scholarly activity and produce highly skilled Dermatologists.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, Audition Rotations are available to fourth year medical students. Rotations are scheduled on a two-week basis from July - January of each academic year. For application details and to apply, please visit our page on Clinician Nexus.
We require an USMLE/COMLEX transcript be submitted as part of your application. Please note that test score requirements are subject to change. Test scores are viewed in conjunction with a variety of other criteria. If an applicant does not meet test score criteria, interview selection is subject to the recruitment panel.
