The General Surgery Residency Program is dedicated to educating future physicians who are exceptionally well prepared in the basic sciences, clinical knowledge, cognitive and technical skills, and the judgment required of outstanding surgeons and surgical leaders. In this five-year program, you will grow and develop into highly competent and compassionate surgeons. We seek to provide residents with an environment rich in exceptional patient care, educational experiences, and research opportunities.
This program is designed to offer residents a rewarding, educational environment where they are provided individualized learning opportunities by program faculty who support and sustain one another throughout the delivery of quality care to patients, regardless of economic or insurance status. Program faculty are committed to ensuring that the residents' clinical experience and educational needs are fulfilled, while also expanding residents' perspectives to be inclusive of all cultures, values, and ideals.
