How to Apply

Welcome from our Program Director

Welcome to exploring our gastroenterology fellowship program at Riverside Community Hospital (RCH), part of the HCA Healthcare Graduate Medical Education family, the nation's leading provider of quality, patient-centered care and graduate medical education.

We are excited to have you join our team and look forward to helping you develop into the best possible gastroenterologist. The program is a community-based fellowship with a committed goal to educate and produce the next generation of clinically excellent gastroenterologists by caring for and improving the quality of human life and being the premier healthcare destination for its patients. The program uses a highly supportive and collegial training environment in a high-volume, high-acuity and high-efficiency setting to educate their trainees.

Riverside is one of the fastest growing areas in Southern California, and yet remains, one of the most underserved areas. This provides a ripe background for trainees to garner a vast clinical experience in care of a diverse and appreciative patient population. RCH, as the sponsoring institution, is a 478-bed, level I trauma center, regional tertiary care referral center. As a large referral center, and this offers fellows an opportunity to engage in many areas of advanced medical care, including advanced endoscopic procedures.

In addition to our clinical and research training, we also emphasize the development of leadership skills. We believe that gastroenterologists need to be leaders in their field, both in terms of clinical care and research. We offer a variety of opportunities for you to develop your leadership skills, including participation in our residency programs, tumor boards, hospital committees and our numerous mentoring programs.

We are excited in the role that our program can play in preparing you for a rewarding and successful career in gastroenterology. We look forward to getting to know you and helping you reach your full potential.
