We would like to warmly welcome you to the HCA Healthcare Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program at Riverside Community Hospital!

The GME program at RCH is one of the fastest growing teaching programs in California hosting numerous residency and fellowship programs in addition to being the teaching site to many medical students from several medical schools.

Our fellowship program at Riverside Community Hospital is a 3-year training program in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Two positions are available each year. Fellows will maintain an active clinical practice and participate in clinical rotations including pulmonary consult service, medical and surgical intensive care unit, pulmonary procedures, outpatient pulmonary clinic, electives and several educational activities. The program will prepare participants for certification in both Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.

We offer excellent training resources and a diverse patient population. Fellows will work directly with our pulmonary and critical care medicine professionals. They'll also interact with physicians in anesthesiology, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, internal medicine and its subspecialties, neurology, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, orthopedic surgery, and trauma.

The pulmonary service serves a diverse ethnic and socioeconomic patient population with all advanced comprehensive interventional pulmonary procedures, specialized outpatient clinic (lung cancer, ILD, airway disease, pleural disease, pulmonary hypertension, etc.). The Intensive care unit serves as a higher level of care to many surrounding towns and cities in the area. Our large ICU hosts patients with complex medical, surgical, cardiac and neuro cases.

Riverside is one of the fastest growing areas of Southern California with proximity to the mountains, beaches, forests, deserts and easy drive to Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.
