Welcome to the Grand Strand Emergency Medicine Residency Program!
Our graduates' success starts with unparalleled training in the busiest Level I Trauma Center in South Carolina. In addition to 60 miles of pristine beaches, this desirable location will expose you to a diverse patient population. Our residents not only learn to manage this high volume and acuity, but also receive extraordinary didactic and procedural training in our state-of-the-art education and simulation center. Our Ultrasound Fellowship is outstanding and heavily incorporated into the residency curriculum.
We are excited to have academic affiliations with the University of South Carolina, Mercer School of Medicine, and Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM). With these affiliations, faculty and residents have access to unique opportunities, such as research support and Global Health initiatives.
The cornerstone of our program resides in the fact that our faculty are committed to training future leaders in the field of Emergency Medicine. There is an atmosphere of enthusiasm, with constant strides to improve upon the solid foundation that was laid upon our inception in 2016. In addition to a close mentorship pathway, various electives, and a strong emphasis on resident leadership, our goal is to that ensure that each resident will have a rewarding career upon graduation.
