Program Curriculum

Our program will prepare fellows to evaluate and manage patients with but not limited to arrhythmias, palpitations, syncope, anticoagulation maintenance, and risk for sudden cardiac arrest. Procedural competence is a critical portion of the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Program both inside and outside of the electrophysiology laboratory. Fellows will be trained to perform tilt testing, activation sequence mapping recordings, ECGs, and stress test ECG recordings among other testing modalities. Our robust conference schedule includes a bi-weekly core curriculum series, bi-weekly case conferences, quarterly morbidity and mortality conferences, quarterly quality improvement conferences, quarterly journal club, and semi-annual simulation exercises. Fellows will attend outpatient cardiac electrophysiology clinic one half-day per week during all rotations, occurring Friday afternoons. We strive to create a learning environment that balances the rigors of residency training with personal life, allowing our fellows to take full advantage of living in the tropical paradise that is South Florida. We strongly believe that happy and healthy house staff deliver the highest quality care to our patients.
