Biography
Dr. Angel Caban, was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He graduated from college Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico. Dr Angel Caban completed his medical degree at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. His surgical training as an intern began in New York City at St. Vincents Hospital. From there he transferred to the University of Florida in Gainesville were he completed his surgical training and became a Board Certified General Surgeon by the American Board of Surgery. He then pursued a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy and Bariatric Surgery at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
After finishing his extensive training, Dr Angel Caban joined the faculty at University of Florida and was an Assistant Professor of the Department of Surgery for three and a half years. He was involved in training medical students, surgical residents and bariatric surgery fellows. Clinically, he developed a busy practice that involved taking care of highly complex patients requiring advanced laparoscopic skills. He practiced at Shands Hospital and the Malcom Randal VA Medical Center.
In January of 2014, he parted ways from the academic environment and went into private practice in Ocala, Florida. In just several months Dr Angel Caban became one of the most prominent surgeons in Marion County. He has performed many complex procedures including a wide variety of Laparoscopic and Open surgeries. He recently performed the first Minimally Invasive Esophagectomy in Marion County for esophageal cancer.
Prior to his arrival in Ocala most of this patients had to seek medical attention far from home because of the lack of expertise in the area. Now the majority of this patients can enjoy world class care closer to their love ones.
Dr Angel Caban takes great care of his patients and his outstanding outcomes are a reflection of his training, expertise and attention to details.

Alberto Gonzalez, MD is a Board Certified General and Vascular surgeon specializing in diseases of the vascular system, arteries, veins and lymphatic circulation. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio in 2003. Dr. Gonzalez has extensive experience and uses minimally-invasive surgical techniques to treat life-threatening arterial and vein diseases. He has performed thousands of vascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR), carotid artery stenting placement, laser varicose vein removal and peripheral artery bypass surgery, just to name a few.

Biography
Dr. George Rossidis, was born and raised in Cyprus, Greece. He received his medical degree at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary and graduated as the class valedictorian. He completed his internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and his surgical residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville where he served as the administrative Chief Resident.
Currently Dr. Rossidis is a Board Certified General Surgeon by the American Board of Surgery and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. George Rossidis completed a post graduate fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
After completing his fellowship, Dr. George Rossidis served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the UF College of Medicine for three years.
Dr. George Rossidis has authored multiple publications and surgical book chapters. He also presented his academic work at local, national and international meetings.
He then transitioned to private practice and served as the Medical Director of the Bariatric Surgery Program, Medical Director of the Esophageal Cancer Program and Cancer Liaison Physician for the Commission on Cancer at Saint Anthony's Hospital, St. Petersburg, FL.
Dr. George Rossidis is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, American Society of Breast Surgeons, and a member of the Chapman Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Rossidis clinical interests include management of benign and malignant gastroesophageal disorders like esophageal and stomach cancer, achalasia and reflux disease. Minimally invasive bariatric and colorectal surgery. Abdominal wall hernias and benign/malignant breast surgery.
Dr. Rossidis clinical interests revolve around minimally invasive management of gastrointestinal pathology such as gastroesophageal reflux, achalasia, diverticulitis, bariatric surgery. He is also trained in minimally invasive repair of abdominal wall hernias, surgical oncology, including esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, colon cancer, and a special interest in the management of breast cancer.

Dr. Jack Wecowski, MD, is a Board Certified surgeon caring for patients in Ocala, Florida and the surrounding areas. Dr. Wecowski is a Minimally Invasive Complex GI, Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Foregut Surgeon. Dr. Wecowski specializes in surgical treatments for pancreas, liver and bile duct cancers as well as other cancers of the gastrointestinal tract such as the esophagus, stomach and small bowel. He also treats a number of benign disorders and conditions.
Dr. Wecowski completed medical school and his General Surgery Residency, where he was Chief Administrative Resident, from the Wayne State University Detroit Medical Center. He then completed two Fellowships - one in Surgical Critical Care at the University of Kentucky and another in Minimally Invasive Complex Gastrointestinal, Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary, Foregut Surgery at Advent Health in Tampa.
Dr. Wecowski is passionate about providing the best surgical care for optimum treatment of complex cancers. He believes in a patient-centered approach and educates and involves his patients in all aspects of care so that together they can come up with a course of treatment.
