Welcome from our Program Director
Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Sunrise Health GME Consortium Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program. With the recent COVID‐19 Pandemic, there is no better time to proudly call yourself an “intensivist‐in‐training”. Located in the fabulous city of Las Vegas, Sunrise Health GME sponsors the one‐ year Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine Fellowship with MountainView Hospital as the primary site.
About our program
HCA Healthcare is one of the nation’s leading providers for healthcare and resident training in the United States. The Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine Fellowship program at Sunrise Health GME aims to provide diverse and well- rounded training experiences and emphasize the life-long learning skills required to maintain competency in all areas of anesthesiology critical care medicine.
Our main training facility, MountainView Hospital, is a state-of-the-art facility that specializes in all areas of adult critical care medicine including trauma, surgical, cardiothoracic, neurosurgical, obstetrics and medical. Our fellows will work closely with outstanding faculty with diverse training background to become independent, autonomous critical care anesthesiologists in all aspects of patient care. Our fellows will also have an opportunity to work with residents from numerous specialties of our graduate medical education program.
Our additional site at Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center serves the southwest region of the Las Vegas Valley. Anesthesiology critical care medicine fellows will receive 1:1 training with our site director Dr. Voscopoulos for trainings in critical care ultrasonography, transesophageal echocardiogram, and percutaneous tracheostomy placement.
Moonlighting is allowed as long as it does not interfere with work hour rules set by ACGME or fellows educational endeavors.
