Rotations are with attendings at Research Medical Center, Overland Park Medical Center, Lees Summit Medical Center and North Kansas City Health. The fellows will participate in operative cases and clinics with the attendings that they are following on that rotation.
There is dedicated time for preparation for the RPVI exam in the 2nd year. Fellows will be actively interpreting and reading vascular lab studies in both years.
There are weekly conferences that cover the Vscore curriculum, weekly case planning conference, interesting clinical case conference.
There are monthly M&M and research conferences. There is also a monthly journal club.
Fellows will attend the Society of Vascular Surgery and Midwest vascular surgery society meetings at least once during their fellowship and are encouraged to present at these meetings.
First year fellows will participate in the “Houston boot camp “program and 2nd year fellow is will attend the “Wes Moore course “
