Welcome to the Riverside Community Hospital Radiology Residency Program! On behalf of the Department of Radiology, I am excited to introduce you to our outstanding Southern California program. Launched in July 2020, we are an ACGME accredited 4-year residency that matriculates 5 residents per year.
Our radiology residency is designed to provide a rigorous broad-based radiology experience blending academic radiology with the practical experience of private practice. Riverside Community Hospital is a 547 bed, Level I trauma center and comprehensive stroke center that serves as a referral center for Riverside County and surrounding areas. The patient population is socioeconomically and culturally diverse and bring a wide range of disease pathologies in all radiological disciplines including chest, cardiac, body, ultrasound, neuro, musculoskeletal, nuclear, breast, fluoroscopic, pediatric and ER imaging.
Our curriculum will provide you with a variety of radiologic exams, daily didactic lectures, case conferences and multidisciplinary conferences, and support for research. The radiology faculty are dedicated to education and strive to create a rich and supportive learning environment. We are open to feedback as we continue to grow with a focus on efficient and effective learning geared at passing the boards and then transitioning into clinical practice.
In the absence of fellows, residents serve a primary role in image interpretation, patient management and decision-making, and patient procedures. This leading position enables our residents to acquire substantial clinical skills almost immediately in their training. For this reason, our graduates will be eagerly sought for fellowships and attending positions in both academic and private practice settings.
We thank you for considering our program and look forward to meeting you.
