Dr.Mahmuda Begum,MD, FACP, APD, Site Director.

Dr Begum completed her Internal Medicine residency at UT Southwestern Program branch in Austin, Texas in 2010. She has eight years of experience teaching medical students. Premed students and residency applicants regularly shadow her. She has held leadership roles and currently serves as Internal Medicine department Chair at St. David’s Medical Center.

Dr.Hussain Malbari , MD

Dr. Malbari grew up in Houston, TX and completed training in Brooklyn, NY. He serves as faculty at Texas A&M College of Medicine. Pre-med students from his alma mater UT Austin routinely shadow him. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and enjoying time with his family.

Dr.Thao Tran, DO

Dr. Thao Tran completed her residency at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa and has practiced as a hospitalist since 2018. Prior to medical school, Dr. Tran conducted research through a Master of Science program and worked as a research assistant at UT-Houston. She currently serves as adjunct faculty at Texas A&M.

Dr.Sarah Elzubeir, MD

Dr.Sarah Elzubeir is a board-certified internal medicine physician. She earned her medical degree from Newcastle University, UK, and practiced in the National Health Service before relocating to the United States to complete her residency at St. Mary Medical Center, Long Beach. She is dedicated to educating and mentoring our future physicians.

Dr. Srinandan Sathi ,MD

Dr. Sathi is an internal medicine physician who earned his degree from St. George’s University in 2020. After completing his residency at Bayonet Point Hospital, he moved to Austin, where he has practiced for three years. Outside of medicine, he enjoys running, traveling, and exploring Japanese cinema, comics, and animation.

Dr. Tariq M Jaber,MD,APD

Dr.Tariq Jaber started medical education at American University of the Caribbean. Dr. Jaber did his Internal Medicine Residency at Broward Health General. He then completed his Infectious Disease and Critical Care Fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital. His interests includes; Immunocompromised population, CNS infections, shock management, and teaching.
