Stephen Mester, MD
Program Director
Dr. Mester is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. A graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine, he is a US News and World Report "Top Doctor." He is also medical director of electrophysiology at Tampa General, chief of cardiology and cardiac surgery at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital and medical director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital.
Tehreen Khan, MD
Associate Program Director
Dr. Khan is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology, vascular, and echocardiography. She completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospital in Houston, Texas, fellowship in cardiology at the State University of New York, Stony Brook, and Echocardiography Level III Fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute.
Christian Perzanowski, MD
Cardiology Research Leader
Dr. Perzanowski is board certified in both cardiovascular diseases and electrophysiology. He specializes in catheter ablation of more advanced forms of persistent atrial fibrillation. Trained in electrophysiology at Duke University Medical Center, his main focus is on the treatment of atrial fibrillation. He participates in clinical research and presents at major electrophysiology meetings.
Ranchhod (Ravi) Khant, MD
Dr. Khant is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He trained in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases at Christ Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. His special interests are clinical cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, vascular ultrasound, cardiology research, coronary angioplasty and stents.
Umesh Gowda, MD
Dr. Gowda is board certified and fellowship-trained in Interventional cardiology at SUNY, Brooklyn, New York. In addition, he has earned certifications in endovascular medicine, vascular medicine, cardiovascular ct, and nuclear cardiology. His specialties include coronary angioplasty procedures, peripheral vascular, angioplasty/stenting/atherectomy procedures, structural heart disease procedures, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.
