Dear Future Internists,

Thank you for your interest in the JFK Internal Medicine Residency Program. Choosing a residency is one of the most important decisions of your medical career, and we are honored that you are considering joining our program.

Our mission is to train exceptional internists who deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while developing into confident physicians, leaders, and lifelong learners. We provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient training to prepare residents for careers in primary care, hospital medicine, or fellowship. We are proud of our strong board pass rates, fellowship placements, and graduates who are well prepared for independent practice.

Our program is built on a culture of teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and respect. We believe outstanding patient care begins with collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to excellence. Residents are expected to take ownership of their learning, communicate effectively, support one another, and continuously grow as clinicians and colleagues.

While residency is demanding, we also value personal well-being and encourage residents to maintain balance by spending time with family and friends and enjoying all that South Florida has to offer.

Residency will challenge and transform you, but you will not face that journey alone. Our faculty are committed to your success, and your fellow residents will become trusted colleagues and lifelong friends.

If you are seeking a program that values clinical excellence, compassion, integrity, teamwork, and personal growth, we invite you to learn more about the JFK Internal Medicine Residency Program. We look forward to meeting you and hope to welcome you to our family.

Warm regards,

Stefanie Furlan, DO, MPH
