Welcome from our Program Director

Welcome to the HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood Nephrology Fellowship program. We are proud to announce that we received ACGME accreditation for the newly formed program in September 2023. Our fellowship program offers a unique and balanced approach to both clinical, work-life balance, and research aspects of Nephrology. Fellows will have the opportunity to see a plethora of renal pathologies and diseases, which are prevalent in Northeast Houston. Clinical training is supplemented by weekly didactics structured to improve clinical reasoning and effective translation of knowledge at bed side. The training is enhanced by research opportunities and fellows will have availability of a rich clinical data base and experienced research statistician to enhance their research experience. The Nephrology division is committed in promoting a diverse and inclusive faculty and staff and we welcome and encourage applicants from diverse background.

Program Overview

The HCA Houston Healthcare/University of Houston (Kingwood) Nephrology Disease Program will provide fellows with comprehensive experiential learning and didactic activities, medical knowledge, and procedural skills to diagnose and manage renal disorders. The curriculum will be designed to equip fellows with the skills necessary for independent practice and leadership in healthcare teams. FFaculty members and the GME research director will provide educational activities that cultivate the fellows' knowledge and skills necessary to synthesize and critically interpret the literature, participate in quality improvement projects, conduct research, and gain Interventional Radiology experience which can be tailored to the fellows' interests. The sponsoring institution and program will endeavor to retain fellows as Nephrologists and faculty who provide the highest quality, compassionate, comprehensive care.
