Welcome Emergency Medicine Program at Los Robles Regional Medical Center

The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Los Robles Hospital is part of the HCA Healthcare Graduate Medical Education network. I would like to personally welcome you to the Los Robles Emergency Medicine Residency program! We are an ACGME accredited three-year program located in the city of Thousand Oaks, CA, part of HCA Healthcare's Graduate Medical Education (GME). We are a categorical ACGME accredited program, with 24 (three-year) Emergency Medicine residency positions.

About our program

Our program offers the best of three worlds:

First, we are a community based training program where system-based practice is an everyday reality, not a distant concept.

Second, our faculty are experienced and fellowship-trained, providing real-life, practice based learning and improvement opportunities on a daily, case-by-case basis.

Third, HCA Healthcare GME, through its national scale, offers rich opportunities for clinical research, access to online knowledge resources, expert speakers and consultants, and an opportunity for a long professional career following graduate training.

Our main training site is Los Robles Regional Medical Center, a state-of-art facility:

  • The only level II Trauma Center in Eastern Ventura County.
  • EDAP rated (Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics).
  • Comprehensive Stroke Center.

In addition to the main hospital campus, Los Robles is home to the Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital (TOSH) and Rehabilitation Hospital We have a dedicated GME facility, with:

  • An auditorium
  • Lecture rooms
  • Call rooms
  • State of the art simulation center
  • Resident lounge equipped with a kitchen
