Welcome from our Program Director

Thank you for your interest in our Transitional Year Residency program at Los Robles Health System! We offer an excellent one- year program for physicians-in-training who are planning careers in several specialties including but not limited to dermatology, anesthesiology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. All of our rotations take place on the campus of Los Robles Health System in Thousand Oaks.

Program overview

We offer an individualized approach to professional development and endeavor to tailor rotations to each resident's career goals and aspirations.

We combine innovative offerings, such as in our simulation lab and our leadership curriculum for academic half day, to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. We place a great emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion to ensure a supportive environment where every resident can thrive. By embracing flexibility, and promoting excellence, our goal is to prepare residents for success in their specialties but also for leadership roles in the ever-changing landscape of healthcare. Frequently asked questions

Yes, Los Robles Health System's Graduate Medical Education residency programs are fully accredited by the ACGME.
Yes, a 220 USMLE is preferred. However, the Program Director will review all applications and evaluate the applicants' overall skills and professional achievements; a decision to invite a candidate for an interview is based on several factors, not only USMLE scores.
We don't have a requirement to complete research. However, if you would like to attempt research in addition to the rotations, residents must discuss their goals and ideas with our research administrator first.
