Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the Sunrise Health Graduate Medical Education Consortium’s Internal Medicine Residency Program at MountainView Hospital.

We are an ACGME-accredited categorical residency program with ten years of continuing accreditation and 63 categorical residents. As part of the Sunrise Health GME Consortium and the HCA Healthcare family, our mission is to train the next generation of exceptional internists who are equipped to meet the evolving challenges of modern medicine.

Our program emphasizes balance—between rigorous clinical training, meaningful research, patient safety, and evidence-based medicine. Residents benefit from diverse clinical experiences at MountainView Hospital, a 489-bed community-based hospital that serves a broad and diverse patient population in Southern Nevada. It is the #1 hospital in Nevada by U.S. News & World Report, recipient of LeapFrog Top Teaching Hospital grade, and recognized by Healthgrades as America's 100 Best Hospitals Award™ (2025, 2024).

Education here goes beyond the wards and clinics. Our residents train in a state-of-the-art simulation center and engage in a robust didactic curriculum featuring board review, subspecialty-led conferences, and ambulatory teaching series.

Scholarly activity is a cornerstone of our program. In ACY-2024-25, our residents and faculty produced over 150 scholarly works encompassing posters, quality improvement projects and peer-reviewed publications. Resident wellness is equally central to our program. From structured faculty mentorship and a buddy system to planned social events, we actively invest in creating a supportive environment that fosters resilience and professional growth.

We invite you to learn more about our program and the opportunities that awaits you here. I am confident you will find an environment that supports your journey toward becoming a compassionate, well-rounded physician leader.
