Our residency program is proud to foster a collegial and supportive environment that extends well beyond the hospital walls. Residents regularly connect outside of work, building strong friendships through activities such as board game nights, group runs in local races, dog park meet-ups, play dates, and a variety of other social gatherings. These shared experiences not only strengthen teamwork and camaraderie but also contribute to a positive and balanced residency experience.
Monthly seminar:
Each class has a dedicated seminar day each month, where all the residents from that class have a protected afternoon excused from clinical duties, and meet up to address topics in wellness, professionalism, scholarly activity, or for activities like a painting class or an escape room.
Annual retreat:
Every year, the program hosts an annual retreat for all residents, wherein the entirety of the residency is excused for the day from clinical duties and gets to do an activity together paid for by the program – recent past activities include Top Golf, Worlds of Fun, and an arcade day.
