The OBGYN program at St David's Healthcare Austin is an ACGME accredited, 4-year postgraduate training program. The goal of our residency is to prepare outstanding, thoughtful, and compassionate physicians that are uniquely qualified for private practice, academic medicine, and subspecialty training.

Austin has a diverse patient population with a large surgical and obstetrical volume providing a well-rounded curriculum. With 10,000+ deliveries, St David's Healthcare Austin is a tertiary referral center that provides a wide variety of stimulating obstetrical cases supported by our evidence based MFM faculty with nationally recognized teaching experience. All St David's learning sites incorporate fully staffed OB Emergency rooms, high risk antepartum units, and a St David's based maternal-neonatal transport team.

The robust surgical and obstetrical volume is balanced with protected academic time for lectures, conferences, CREOG and board reviews. Our nationally renowned MIGS faculty will refine laparoscopic and robotic surgical skills utilizing learner consoles at each facility. Our faculty is diverse in age, background, and clinical interests but are united in training the next generation of obstetrician gynecologists. To achieve our goal of an exceptional training program, we offer significant exposure in subspecialties of Maternal Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology, Gynecologic Oncology, Female Pelvic Medicine with Reconstruction, and Minimally Invasive Gynecology with associated faculty-mentored research curriculums.
